What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Replaced Center Support Bearing to get rid of viberations at take off and high speeds. Used a Spicer one that I got off of Amazon and it works like a charm, no more vibes! Also went ahead and changed my rear diff fluid just for some due maintenance and who knows how much leaked out when my rear axle seal was leaking. Ready for the snow!

 

Taking it all apart. Got a list of goodies going in: new stereo, amp, heated mirrors, hypertech odometer calibration, etc just to name a few. Don’t mind the old wiring. It was rather messy. Will take care of that too!

Took my truck to Mobtown Offroad’s new shop for a fuel tank skid design. Got the prototype done so expect them to be available in 4-5 weeks. They’ll be offered in 10 gauge steel (between 1/8” and 3/16”) or 3/16” aluminum.

 

I wonder if they’d be willing to design a gas tank skid plate for the Long Range Automitive extended range gas tank.

 

Probably not, unless someone local has one to design off of. Isn’t that tank pretty stout, not needing a skid?

I was a ham for the annual Hood to Coast in late August, worked 10 pm to 5 pm at 2 different exchanges. Can't recall if I posted it at the time. I think I just went to bed.

 

Took advantage of the good weather today and cleaned the MAF sensory, Throttle body and blew out the cabin filter.

 

I tested the snorkel

 

getting ready to pull the trigger on some 285 wildpeaks, found someone "finally" willing to do a cmc for me for only 100$ the other shop wanted $400 and that was with me already getting the plates from BAMF lol gonna hopefully get the tires on this week when they come in and see if I even need the cmc. maybe I can play with my alignment a little since I have aftermarket UCA? if not ill rub my way down the road to the other shop and get r done by the way my wheels are 17x9 with -12 offset if that makes any difference

 

Full debadge of my plasti dipped emblems. Going for a cleaner look so I took off the tail light guards too.

 

I've got about 7.5k on my 265 wildpeaks and I'm still very happy with them. Two of my buddies have bought them on my recommendation and are very happy. I wouldn't hesitate on them at all.

 

I think the fun part of this post is figuring out how you took the picture.
