    Hello,

Recently got a 2018 TRD Off Road Double cab Tacoma, considering rock sliders that can also work as running board (Able to step on them), and wondering if there are any out there with removable steps. Also wondering if its better to have them welded or bolted on to the frame?

    Thanks

If you want them to double as steps, I recommend fill plates and having them built to 0 degrees (most are angled up to 15-20 degrees). As far as removable steps, I'm unsure if anyone makes them.

For weld vs bolt on, that's personal preference. Both have pros and cons, but I would recommend bolt-on on a brand new truck. Check out @Mobtown Offroad for the strongest bolt on option available with no drilling required.
