multi mount, ram ball, and the same holder from Hondo but I'm not blocking any vents. in Texas the Hondo is not a great solution for me.

I use the built in ones (cup holders) because phone mounts look dumb...unless you are an Uber or Lyft driver.

I been using the Scosche mount since late August and has worked out well it does not block any vents, yet it keeps the phone at a low profile in line of sight.

I stand corrected sir. Thanks for pointing this out. I am “hands free”, I just wish Entune would help and not hinder me!

I use a magnetic mount like the scotche. I think it's Apps2Car and I paid about $10 at Amazon. It mounts in the cd tray. The phone kind of blocks the top of the entune display which has the time of day.

Thanks for all the options guys! I went with the Scosche mount. It sits low and doesn’t block the air vent. It should work great for me. Now for the next Mod. . .74C7D7E4-B1EB-42EE-8FCA-0D3817514BA6.jpg

I wanted a way to mount my cell phone for navigation, but wanted full use of my vents (why I didn't go for the Hondo Garage). I opted for a piece of T-track and the Ram X-Grip set up.

I cut a piece of track to mount to the top of the radio bezel. I rounded the edges for a more finished look. I then used the T-track to mark holes in the trim and drilled the holes. Afterwards, I cut some small flat plates to sandwich the plastic between the head of the mounting screws and the nuts making the joint stronger and spreading the load along the trim. Painted the T-channel the truck color and called it good.

I also have the multi mount posted by @St.Germain. I originally had the Hondo Mount but there's one annoying problem with it that I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere: Condensation builds up easily around it, gets inside the air vent and mold starts growing causing a dank smell. Real happy with the multi mount though and it's easy to install. My 2 cents

yeah if you run the AC hard and have the Hondo, you'll have 2 issues: poor vent flow/direction control & condensation. just not great for AC users.

Got that right. I live in hot and humid VA, it was well made but the mold is a deal breaker

To get a little more technical, here in California, your communications device, since Jan 1, 2017 has to be mounted to the windshield or dash if you're going to use it while driving. You're allowed a single swipe or tap to activate or de-activate the phone and the phone and mount are not allowed to obstruct the view through the windshield. So, the aforementioned mirror mount would not fly here as it obstructs the driver's view through the windshield. The mount that I'm using keeps everything below the hoodline of the truck and does not obstruct the actual view. These laws aren't there to make your life difficult. They're there to help make it safer from all the yahoos that think they can actually do more than one thing at a time. And that one thing should be to concentrate on your driving. From someone who lives and drives in L.A. every day, the last thing I need is one more, even more distracted driver. I mean, we now have tens of thousands of freaking Bird and Lime scooters to dodge everywhere we go now.

Whatever you do don't get one of those goofy claw skeleton lookin' zombie hand holders

I've been extremely happy with Casco 360 mount
Super low profile, very well built. Boasts rare earth magnets strong as hell, well machined, and uses all 3m high quality adhesives
Had mine for over 3 years now on two different iphones. It was around $40 but still holds up perfect.
Pulled these pictures off the internet but you get the point!

Expedition Essentials TPAM for me. Love it and it's rock freaking solid, too. Also has its own power source. Oh and of course the Hondo Garage Perfect Squeeze.
