    08 Tacoma Rugged Trail Edition
Homemade Rear Hi-Clear. Rear Bumper, ARB Front w/Fog Light Option. Superwinch EPi9.0s with Amsteel Blue. Going to make sliders, skids and bed cage/box, I have a camper shell for long range travel. Vision X Tantrum Lights for being a "pimp in the bush", Cobra CB, lots of tools and random junk that helps to add traction due to weight.
Any Corpus/Aransas folks up for a day trip/run down PINS tomorrow or Sunday? I cannot go next weekend due to work commitments, but am thinking about making a run this weekend(6/19-6/20). If the weather is nice, I am thinking about leaving after breakfast. Let me know-if not- I'll go at it alone and post pics of beach conditions for next weekend's "expedition"....:D

Went to the island this morning made it about 25 miles down and decided to head back-it was pretty easy going though. I have to work tonight(graveyard)-so I opted to cut the trip short and get some rest.... There is a lot of seaweed along the water and the sand is very dry and loose. I did not have any major issues navigating the loose stuff, but had to pull a few folks out that did have trouble. I found a family that made it to the 4WD sign and got their Honda Odyssey Minivan stuck and then about another 5 miles down a Dodge Diesel got into a loss of traction situation...

With the expertise that you folks have-it should be a fun trip next weekend. Take extra fuel and plenty to drink-cause it is a hot, dry SOB down here.

Great place, hopefully no BP oil will ever make it there.
