2016+ 3rd Gen Interior Vanity Light Removal - Help

Hey everyone. New member here.
Just recently picked up my '17 Tacoma DCSB TRD Sport.
I was swapping out all the interior halogen bulbs with white LEDs today, and everything worked great except trying to change the vanity/sun shade mirror lights.
I can't take the clear covers off to change out the bulbs. I tried popping them off, but was prying so hard I thought I would break it.
Does anyone have any info on how to remove them? Or can show me some pics on how to?

Changed mine on my 2016 and the plastic lenses came off very easy. I used a credit card to slide into edge and pry loose

 

i used a very small flathead (almost smaller than a trim piece remover and it worked great)

Just did this tonight actually, along with some h11 Hids for my low beams

 

Thanks for the reply OhioTaco68. Which part or corner did you pry at? I've been prying at the top and no luck.

 

Thanks, the LED kit I bought came with a flat pry tool. Which part did you pry from? Bottom sides or top?

 

Pry at the bottom !

 

I just took that pic for you .. at 1:40am in the morning, hope none of my neighbors seen me or they probably thought "what the hell is he doing"

Just pry from bottom and the plastic lens will come right off

Worked perfect. There's a really small hidden clip at the bottom I didn't see at first. Really quick to change. Thanks again for the help!!!

 

What led bulbs did you use?

 

Wouldn’t imagine you would want too bright of a bulb there...
