I've gotten to play with a Mk43 a while back. Quite hefty, but makes you feel powerful.

I’ve signed up some time last year. I got with my FFL about it and have all his info for whenever something comes across their email special. My understanding is that I’ll buy it and give his info for the FFL and shipping. My info for the purchase. Then I pick it up from him after the background check.

I had some shipping quotes somewhere and now can’t find them. IIRC, something like $25 per long gun, $35 for multiple long guns. $15 for pistols and $20/25 for multiples. I may be wrong on the long gun quote on the high side, though.

I would get a decent pump. Learn to shoot it and be very comfortable with it. There is not much more ominous then the sound of a shell being racked.
    Life long shooter here

Hello ! I do have asperger's myself and I've been owning a Firearm for a long time and I didn't had any problem or had been declined by the Chief of Firearms to own any types of Weapons.

I’m a big 2nd Amendment supporter and hunter.

The only I guess suggestion I’d give to anyone who wants to carry for personal protection is know the laws in your state for carrying, follow them, and know your rights in a home invasion or attack. Because many states have laws against just hauling off and shooting someone even if you or those around you are in harms way.
It just makes life easier on you if a horrible situation were to occur and you had to use it. Know when and how to use a firearm legally.

Also, shoot a gun before you own one. Some people shoot one and find out they never want to again. It just ensures you don’t waste money. Lol

I will also say long guns make poor home defense because of manuverability and ability to aim. I’d reccomend a handgun and not a shotgun.
In my home I would not be able to flip around my shotgun in my hallway going to the main house.

None of the gun stores near us have any in stock, and Gunbrokers.com only has custom-engraved weapons that are like a thousand bucks...

I would start buy calling someone like Tanner's in Jamison PA, they are awesome (I used to live in Bucks county and love them). Even if they are a few hour drive they may beat internet pricing.

Next, I would search this website:
    https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/glock 19

Here is one in stock right now (and way too expensive):
    https://battlehawkarmory.com/product/glock-19-9mm-compact-15rd

Finally, I would keep an eye on the gun deals subreddit.

Also if you are open to other 9mm's look into the M&P, FN509, or CZ P10

I haven't bought a handgun in a while but it looks like a lot. I'd search on the gun deals subreddit to establish price trends.

    Same crap everyone else got
Non panic pricing, a gen 3 glock 19 is a $380-450 gun all day long for private to private sales. That is the bench mark I usually set. If you want to buy new glock 19 from a store, no matter what gen, I'd expect you to be paying at a min of $600 and even that is being wishful. Keep in mind, if you find a better price online than at a local store, you still still have to pay shipping and the ffl fee of what ever ffl you get it shipped to.
