If the ridge line was lower and was more of an accord with a bed I would look into one. Give me 28-35 mpg and still be able to pick up parts, haul a dirt bike, etc...I'm in. But the ridge line isn't that to me.

I'm i the only one that thinks the 2nd gen Rl is better looking than the first? If the 2nd gen had decent clearance, a tansfer case with 4wd and low range, and came in a manual I would have had a tough choice. I love my Tacoma (3rd one), but I've always been a Honda fan.

I have to disagree. I think they are both ugly but the first gen was slightly less so. Aside from looks, it was a great vehicle. Still have '06 and '13 accords. Great cars.

we took our 95 accord for 220k miles, the 01 for 200k miles, and a 05 civic for 190k miles. Honda makes fantastic cars let me tell you...

Because people never fish with coworkers or help them move shit around. Not ever.

I've seen it in action and I've towed the same boat with my truck without issue. Either way, I've made my points, I'm done wasting my time here watching you two jerk each other off.

I too debated between the Ridgeline and Tacoma. I sure like to options with the Ridgeline but have owned 3 Tacoma's. What settled the debate for me was when I travel to visit our daughter at the University of Florida; I look what trucks are highway drivers. Go 350 miles each way and you would be lucky to see one Ridgeline but many Tacoma's. My conclusion is the Ridgeline is for grocery shopping or an in town type vehicle. Purchased the Tacoma Limited!

If the pilot sold well I’m sure that Toyota would be selling a...

    highlander truck!

    Can you imagine?

So does Toyota, ie the Corolla, lowest cost of ownership, longest lasting car on the road for 30+ years, and the best selling automobile of all time, even more than the beloved Ford F-150.

It’s just not the best looking.

Having owned a number of AWD vehicles, they are much easier to for every day use in snow than Tacoma's setup. I wish the Taco had Auto 4WD setting like some domestic trucks do. Fiddling with 4hi can become annoying, especially if you're in and out of areas that are snow covered and then bare often like underground parking lots in the winter.

But yes in deep snow there will be no contest.

Pair it with the V6 (RIP) and a manual, and you would have quite a speedy mini truck.

All set with the Ridgeline and I have posted many times on TW about this. Anyway, I was Honda guy, had a 2004 Civic EX 5sp MT, great car!! Due to a growing family I replaced it with a 2014 CR-V EX. That Honda was useless to me and my needs. Sure it hauled the family around, but that was about it - WTF is the deal with Honda's center console. Anyway, wifey told me you can get a truck with the same payment go get it.

I looked at the Ridgeline, I was a Honda guy = it was a POS just like the damn CR-V, what a useless automobile. It is a people mover, not a utilitarian vehicle. It drove similar, fit & finish is the same, AWD in the CR-V sucked in the snow, NO EFFING Thanks, mind as well keep the POS CR-V as a passenger CAR.... Looked at the twins, meh - looked at used Tacos and new Tacos cause well, MT. Drove a bunch and researched, fell in love with my 2017 Sport and brought it home. Ridgeline is no where near the same caliber of truck as the Taco. Oooo its smooth, way fast, oooo leather and electric seats, oooo heated mirrors - eff that crap! Maybe for Home Depot city folks, but that is it. My wife's 2011 Outback is more of a truck/useful vehicle than the RL.

Okay Rant done :typing::rant::rant::rant::smash:. Oh and it is fucking ugly :humble:
