Anytime backup camera mod and heated side mirrors works for me. I'm thinking of getting a solid panel for the back with no window for cold weather use so I don't have to worry about damage.

That might be the way to go. It is funny because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have any issues with the solid back window but several years ago was pulled over for not having a drefrosted rear window.

You could create an insulating panel out of Reflectix that you can attach to the roll up buckles above the rear window and tuck under the flap below, that would give the vinyl window a bit of thermal protection (very minimal at best), and to keep frost from settling on the surface. Remove it before you drive.

At home, you can hang a 40W-60W incandescent work light inside the canopy that would give off just enough heat to keep the interior of the bed above freezing.

Modded my softopper yesterday. Added some 4’ x 6’ silver insulation foam from homedepot under the roof of the topper sandwiched between the top tubes . It took care of the in your face/ head radiant heat when I’m inside the truck bed when the truck is parked under the sun . Makes a Huge difference . Will update with pics in am.

Maybe a drip or two down the bed sides. It usually stays dry.

Where are you all ordering your softoppers from? Directly through them? This is the only place I’ve been able to find them

If you seam seal it you shouldn't have too much trouble. I get water in around some of the bed openings, but not much through the softopper.

If you want to put you roof top tent under your topper then these bars are made for that. $325.00 plus shipping.
