    Work in progress...
I mounted the BMW racks I had on my attic to the bed.

Ebay has some faux OEM racks that mount the same way. I’m curious if any of them are decent. They’re half the price.

I would like to know this too. I do not need a Prinsu/frontrunner level rack on the cab. I do need that type on my topper, but not the cab. The OEM cab rack is $300 (roughly half the price of prinsu cabrac) But if I can get an OEM knockoff that is not junk it might be worth it. It could also end terribly with a junk knockoff and all of my stuff flying off in the hwy!

It was drilled and riveted in under the factory channels.

I’ll add, I advocate for the rack I purchased because it suited my needs perfectly. Those are for kayaks and a roof top box. If you are looking to haul more individualized items the prinsu is probably better for that. If you don’t need/want the weight capacity and want to save mo DT the OEM rack works.

It has the quick removal clips but I leave it on year round, doesn’t interfere with the moonroof either.

Might have missed it before I wouldn't do prinsu cause I want to be able to take it on ave off for parking .Which is why I'm looking at the rhino rack that has the bars the easily come off and don't interfere with height

How’s much overhead do you have? The bars sit pretty low I would be surprised if you have to remove them to get into a parking structure. I’ll go look at mine again but they are probably right around the height of the radio fin.

I saw video -- somewhere -- of how to mount a lightbar to the front of the OEM rack. I tried searching again, but no dice. Might be something to look into if you're doing it on the cheap.

I have 3 inches sometimes. I've looked as I entered my fin antenna has any 1/2" of clearance sometimes
