The behavior you mention is standard. The arc must be established, (the flash) then brought to full power (the warm up).

I’ve confirmed the XD ballast startup draw on a bench top power supply, they use a low amp draw startup so it doesn’t draw any more than stock halogen headlights, but the additional harness adds another layer of protection.

That behaviour is perfectly normal - the whole process usually takes about 10-30 seconds for the HIDs to fully settle in. We have a on our Facebook page that someone provided, which shows this nicely.

@deAutoLED.com I emailed you awhile ago but the rear dome LED you sent me just will not fit for me. I ordered the slightly less bright one btw.

    Please email Support@deAutoLED.com

They will help with a new setup - can you show it in the housing - normally it will fit inside the bracket. Keep them updated so they can send a new model.

    Thanks

It just won't fit in the brackets at all, even stretched its too big for the actual housing.

    Edit:
Support did respond and made things right. The bulbs I did install work and look great, very easy to install.

A new bulb to replace the one that wouldn't fit. The rest of them fit very easily and took 5 min to install everything.

What's up everyone!! I wanted to share a quick look at deAutoLED's 7440 LED front Turn signals. I have been testing out some product for them over the past two weeks. This is the first of a couple different videos I'll be sharing with you all.
This video is comparing Stock Halogen, JDM Astar, and deAutoLED. These light really outmatched anything I've ever seen. deAutoLED has some quality products all backed by a lifetime warranty.

    Purchase them here

Your review states the de Auto 7440 bulbs didn't need any resistors. Are they truly plug and play in the front and rear turn signals?

For the front 7440 Turn signals, they are truly 100% plug and play. I was running the JDM Astar and needed resistors. I plugged these in with the resistors installed and the lights wouldn't work at all. I had to remove the resistors for these to work.

I cannot speak on the rear signals and brake lights as I did not test in that location. I would suspect that yes they would work without resistors, but that is merely speculation.

I have front LED turn signals, neither of the brands tested above and I did not need resistors with those, as *most* LEDs don't when just switching out the front. When I put LED turns in the rear, thats when I had to add resistors in the back on one side... then I replaced my brake lights with LED and I had to add the resistor to the other side.

I believe this is what happens with LEDs...but I could be wrong.
When you add more and more LED bulbs, your overall resistances drops...and at one point its so low to the point the truck thinks you have a bulb out, thus the hyperflash.

Hello sir and thanks for your input. Here is what I had happened to me.

I used XSPEED 7440, ENDPAGE 7440, and JDM Astar 7440 and all had hyper flash issues and I replaced nothing in the rear at all. With that said resistors or not, the deAutoLED are without a doubt 3 to 4 time brighter than either of those other brands.

So i think bottom line is that these new @deAutoLED.com 7440's are way better than any out as of now.

They are $40 in my cart right now. When added to the cart they rang up as $45, not $55 as listed so I don't know, ha.
