The updated pcm software did not fix the cruise. I'm not sure how many people go on road trips for their test drive but most dealers don't do long test drives. The truck is not a prius, but my last car was a Prius and the cruise control worked with no issues on that vehicle even when fully loaded with 4 people and going up mountains at 80 mph.

The programmers for the pcm, tcm should be ashamed with the job they did. I couldn't do better but I'm sure there are people who could, which is evident from the programming other cars have that do not try to break traction in cruise control when going up a small incline.

    Fanboy...

These trucks have an awful engine/transmission combination whether you like it or not...Nobody wants to drive around with a screaming engine, no matter the mpg....Those of us that have had multiple Tacomas know this to be true. It's a great truck but we would like to see this issue resolved.
