Sometime in June I installed LED lights in my 08 Tacoma sport 4 x 4. These lights and fans on them and they’re a little bit of a pain in the ass to put in ,Due to the rubber boots and the fan motor.
I was rewarded with my efforts we know Issues. So I thought. So I come in from work at 2 AM to find out my headlight low beam is flickering. Boy am I pissed. So my question is ,providing it isn’t an error on my part ,and it is a defect, and that I have to replace them, Does anybody in this form recommend a good light that I can be confident in and that does not have a fan motor and I can just install them like any other light? Thank you have a good day

@crashnburn80 OP don't waste money on LED's that are not meant for Halogen Headlamps.

Better off to ditch the LED and go back to stock, or get some retrofit projector headlights to take advantage of the LED bulbs. I cannot recommend a brand of bulb though as I have steered clear of most LEDs after putting them in my truck and taking them back out

    Did they require a harness?

It’s highly likely that I’ll go back to the halogen. I’m really not that interested in sudden problems with my lighting in my truck ,just seems too risky.
As it stands I my fog lights are led and should be enough.
I still can’t reiterate enough how as I was driving to the White Mountains that they were super super handy

LEDs can flicker when the cooling fails, which could be the case with the fan. As others have pointed out using LEDs in your reflector housing is a terrible practice. See the thread linked below.

This halogen upgrade puts down massively more light onto the roadway than an LED retrofit, because all the optics of the light are designed for the halogen light source to focus light on the ground and project light on down road. LEDs by comparison do not focus the light, don't project the light down road and just induce massive scatter. If you thought your LEDs are good, you'll be impressed with what a properly designed upgrade will do.

As for your fogs, hopefully you didn't put LEDs in your OEM housings. For an LED fog you need to replace the entire assembly with one designed for the LED source as mentioned above. You can see a full review of almost every available option here:

I don't think anyone thought you were ignoring, I was just quoting people to give credit to those that posted it and reduce the appearance of more links.

So I’ve jumped on board with using the proper lighting, and should expect to have them in soon ,along with fog light bulbs.
I say thanks to all who have helped with their posts and patience !
    A great group

You actually wrote on my profile wall rather than a PM, but no worries. I responded there, so you can go back to the wall to view it. To send a PM is like TacomaWorld email. If on mobile, click on the users name, then click 'start a conversation'. If on a computer, on the left under the users name is a 'Start a Conversation'. Afterward all the conversations are managed in your inbox.

I'll repost the answer here though:
I would highly advise running the harness listed in the thread with those high wattage bulbs, otherwise they are not going to get the power they need. While pattern and cut offs are maintained, high wattage bulbs are not legal for street use, so your local autoparts store will likely not sell them. It is easier to order online.
