If i will change my tires for a different brand and size, will the insurance be void?

Rim size will be the same 16”.

Yes, it is void; has to be OEM size.

In my case, the truck came with a set of TRD plus 33"

    They are covered

From what they told me, any brand is covered as long as its the same size. I initially bought it but decided to cancel it since i want to size up in the near future.

Not void. They will still get you OEM size you are entitled to. Most dealership would make you pay the difference....it does not matter to them.

    Maybe I'm missing something...
Warranty is worded, "meet vehicle manufacturer's size specifications"...not dealer's or distributor's accessory size specifications.
This is insurance through Toyota Corp.
OP says he's going to change to a different size...
    Void or not?

You bring up a good point.

Now in my case, I would not expect them to put on a 31" tire and OEM wheel if I damage one because the package was included.

I can see a scenario where the insurance covers the OE cost, and I or the dealer has to pay for any uplift.

The term void is not what I would use, they still have to give you the value of the OE.

I think there are two scenarios I would expect to be an issue.

    1. You have much larger tires that are much more costly.
    2. Your larger tires were damaged by rubbing etc.

The language likely applies more generically to all vehicles.

I purchased the wheels and tires platinum insurance..

I bought my truck with the standard TRD off road 16" wheels and the standard good year tires.. I then replaced all four wheels with the TRD PRO 16" wheels and kept the same 16" good year tires.. one of the tires started to develop a deformation on the side wall (bumps) the dealer replaced the tire with no questions asked..
