How many people run this to accompany the differential breather on your OR? Seems like a good idea, as experience suggests moisture can get in there and corrode the e-locker actuator. This happened on my '97 tacoma, and appears to have happened on some second gens, requiring an expensive replacement of the actuator.

Do people just run a T-connector into the same hose for the diff breather?

@godwinaustin Did this mod on my wife’s 4runner and saw that the differential and e-locker both had breathers. I ran a T-connector like you mentioned, then ran the one hose up to the new breather location. Easy job, just haven’t done it on my Taco yet, since I was debating getting the super cool Harrop kit for my truck.

3rd gen rear diff e-locker is 100% internal to the diff. I dont know who actually makes it, but looks kind of like an Eaton to me (from the pics on the internet, have not disassembled it)

I havent looked under there yet - so you mean the actuator does not have the external breather/vent as it did on the second gens ?

When I did the rear diff breather (on my 2010 Tacoma), it was after I did a deep water crossing (when the truck was only 6 months old) and the diff oil did get contaminated (milky), but the locker is so much higher and had a tube going up into the frame that I felt if I was in water that deep, the truck would be lost! I have a link here in my signature to my Rear Diff Mod photos... Nearly nine years since my rear diff breather was installed and it is still a flawless mod and my stock locker is still fine without extending its breather any further.
