What a pain! Luckily I didn't have a problem with flats, just losing chunks of rubber.

First of all welcome to TW. As far as mods go just by doing the phone clip and logging in to this site you've opened Pandoras Box or to put it another way ....., you're screwed! There's no turning back now, you're doomed and will now suffer the same fate as the rest of us :spending:
Congratulations on owning your first and probably not your last Tacoma.

I recently had one installed on my truck and to save you a very expensive repair, be very careful when you enlarge the drain holes for the drain hoses because the fuel fill hose is close underneath the bed on the drivers side right beneath the existing drain hole. I know because the place that installed mine accidentally drilled into my fuel hose and it took me on a week long head scratch before I took it to the dealership who identified and replaced the hose for $583. Luckily the shop that installed the cover covered the repair costs because it was technically their fault. I hope this helps and good luck. I love my cover, though dont expect it to be water tight.

Didn’t find it necessary to use the drain hoses. In conjunction with the OEM bed mat any water that does get in is negligible. For the most part any water that gets in is through the tailgate from the "undercarriage wash" at the laser wash I patronize. There are also two very small gaps on each siderail by the bulkhead behind the cab. A small piece of adhesive backed gasket left over from the installation remedies that issue.

I did the same thing this morning. But I got the rexing v1LG. It uses a different mounting system than the v1p so I was not able to use the shapeways mount. But, I took part of a gopro extension, cut part off and epoxied it to the rexing mount. Mine doesnt sit as close to the windshield as yours does with the shapeways mount :(

But, its best place to mount a camera on these trucks and it works.

If you haven't tried Sam Adams Octoberfest I encourage you to try it.
Super smooth Marzden and it blows all other Octoberfests I've tried out of the water. Time is almost up to get it, it's getting hard to find!:goingcrazy:

Any tips on how I can plasti dip the chrome "TACOMA" lettering?
