I have a 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4. I bought an aftermarket key fob from AJT Design. I was wondering if the battery dies in that fob can I still hold it up to the push start button to activate it till I get a new battery? Thanks

Wouldn't see why not, all the guts are moved to the AJT fob. It should retain full functionality.

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure if something in the toyota logo on back of the original fob activated it somehow.

There is nothing in the Toyota logo. Everything is in the guts and you are moving that to the new fob.

Thanks. That makes sense. Sometimes you just never know. I tried it but it didnt work but maybe because the battery os good and it will only do that of the battery is too low.
