    Hey @White lightning boosted 8 seperate slots cut across the pulley on the 2.5.

    I took a tailor's tape on mine measured around the ribbing diameter of the whole pulley at the time and then divided that into 8 sections, after I determined what the distance between each slot would be I marked each area to be cut with a Sharpie to see if it would be close enough, it was so I made my cuts and the rest was history. 8 may not be enough for you though so try and take your rib measurements and divide that by 10 or 12 and see what you get for spacing if using a 2.8.

    I'm a geometric whiz at work. That's no problem. How deep are they? 1/8"?

    I took them down to what would be close to the base of the grooves to ensure full contact with the deepest interior grooves of the belt.

    I wish you lived close to me @rjbiii. We would figure out your lean spots of death real quick-like.

    I was under the impression fuel was already checked and out of the picture. If you have access to a fuel pressure gauge you could T tal into the fuel line connection points by the fender

    @12TRDTacoma

    Shouldn't we trust Gadget to have tested his computer correctly when he sent it back to them? And maybe not jump to that conclusion immediately? I think putting a different Toyota ECU in and seeing what happens is a good way to rule that out, but I think it's pretty unlikely at this point that it's a bad UCON...

    I remember a serious problem I had on my car, we were sure it was the engine computer because we felt we had ruled everything else out. We swapped computers and the problem was still there. It just ended up being a more unusual and difficult to diagnose mechanical issue (not the same issue as here, just using this as an example). My lesson from that was the computer is a very unlikely thing to be wrong (especially a brand new after-market thing like a UCON - which has even been tested post-installation by the company that manufactured it!!)

    Bummer, see if anyone on xru has a 2012+ with the urd intake.
    I guess since gadget made the urd intake so long ago, it was soley based on the pre facelift. Well, actually we know it was..... But look around on xru, maybe there's a few other stories like yours.
    Good luck... I loved that intake until it rained and I got water on the maf wire... Not fun merging.

    I think the ucon is good, when my ucon went back for testing, i talked with gadget a few different times on the phone and walked him through when the problems were occuring so he could try to replicate it. i think my ecu just doesnt want to play nice for some reason.. im going to try and find a ecu and test with that and see what happens

    Based on what I've read, I don't think we should say we've ruled out the fueling issue. What about bad pump? What about fuel pressure regulator?
    We haven't ruled out vacuum leak either, however I seriously doubt that's what it is based on the symptoms.

    I agree, I think UCON being bad is really unlikely. Trying a different toyota ECU is a good idea.

    What I don't understand is why I haven't had any issues of the magnitude that you guys have. My only issue has been belt slip... and that's pretty easy to fix.

    FWIW I got a TRD tune back in March of this year after installing my own SC. The TRD tune is available nationwide, you just need the SC calibration ID number for your truck out of the back of the TRD instructions. I went to two dealers who had never done a TRD SC flash and they were able to find the SC calibration ID I gave them. The tech who did my ECU flash said it's the same process as any common ECU update as long as you know the calibration ID.
