I had an 08 tacoma that I put an OME lift on. I had to replace both from CV's within 40k miles. I was also blowing through u-joints but that could have just been the age of the truck, and lack of quality of the replacement ones I used. Do any of you just straight up replace the CV's when you install a new lift? I think tom woods makes replacement ones and maybe a few others. I no longer have the tacoma but I replaced it with 16 4runner. I told myself I wouldn't lift it, but of course, I want to lift it. This time I want to do it right. So any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'll take that as a no.

Super late reply, answer is no. Been running a lift on my '98 Taco since '98 and the only thing I have had to replace is boots.
The '16 runner is lifted as well and I'm not worried about it.
