What really sucks is that she's got the personality we wish our last dog had. Our previous dog, Molly, was a Black Lab who lived to be 15. We put her to sleep primarily because her kidneys were shutting down and she wasn't eating as a result. Molly loved people, but was very dog-aggressive for all but the last two years or so of her life.

She wasn't pissed off. She was just a dominant/alpha dog...

We also took her home when she was only 7 weeks old, and we believe that this played a role in her temperament with other dogs. Nowadays, it is recommended that puppies stay with their mothers until at least 8 weeks of age.

    My lab is textbook lab.

Our GSD is pretty much textbook GSD as well. She appears to have a extremely high prey drive for other dogs, but shes is literally just yelling hello because all she wants to ever do is go say hi. fucking weird animals.

Everyone freaks out at the sight of maggie as shes a big, thick GSD but shes the kindest dog ever.

Was she dog agressive? Or just didn't put up with other dogs crap? I see dog agressive as not being able to see another dog without attacking.

My last lab was great with other dogs, but around year 12, if a younger dog kept getting near his face, it usually got a nip. He just didn't have time for that crap anymore, lol.

My black schnauzer is aggressive against other people, but they are picky with other animals. My white schnauzer hates my cat, she probably inherited that trait from her dad. My black schnauzer hates it when other dogs go near her special bowl, even if she's not eating.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, my my boxer will puke water up if:

1.) It’s cold water (anything cold makes him puke, cold apples, water, eating snow...)
2.) He gets water within 45 min of a meal

He gets warm water every few hours and none within an hour or so of a meal and he’s been good for years.

I just had to put my 4 year old doberman down. He had 2 problems one was kidney failure and copper storage disease. Just 3 days prior me and him were on a run and the day he had to be put down he could barely walk straight. We found out his kidney issue over a year ago when he went from weighing 109lbs to 60lbs. So he went on medication, which sustained his condition. Yet he still did not eat much. It was very weird, he would eat the entire bowl of dry food, and then not touch the same dry food the next day. So we mix n matched foods and then eventually his kidneys just failed and had black tarr-y diarrhea in the house 2 days in a row and we had to put him down.. the vet said you can get a blood test and be able to tell if the dog has that problem so you can treat it early. But we wouldn't of gave my dog back if we found out that he had a problem. That dog was my son. My advice, get a blood test, Google some questions
