Should I remove the caps to plasti dip them or should I just try and put paper around the edges. Thank you

I did mine in place. Pretty easy to tape off and spray if you have a semi-protected (dust free) place to do it.

I might do that. Do you have any pics of your results?

I just did mine but with flat black tremclad spray paint. Looks good but I had a little running which I’ll have to redo and add another coat. I just masked off and did them in place. You could do the same with plasti dip or add 2” around and peel. Looks good, I have the colour matched caps and flares. Also , peeled the TRD sport stickers and looks way cleaner. IMO.

Easy to tape off in place. This is 8 layers and then 3 layers of plasti dip glossifier.

Obviously the other black trim is still dirty, but this matches very well imho.
