@vssman this is a good start a bigger tv coffee maker small fridge :}

 

just looked at my ceiling and I have a water leak.... Think it's the vent tube seal up top.... I HATE getting on my roof.

 

Dodgers rookie pitcher Walker Buehler has thrown 110 pitches / struck out 7 so far and not letting Boston score !!!

 

I hate my ladder. If it were 3' taller I'd be alright getting on the roof but mine hits just at the bottom of the eaves. I'll get another one when they go on sale.

Have they mentioned rain barrels to you? They made us put four 55 gallon barrels for our addition. Four! It’s been 3 years and we haven’t gotten enough rain to fill one, let alone four.

 

I'm use to it. My wife was a good sport today. I knew we wouldn't have anyone at the office today to bring me back from dropping off my truck 50 miles away. So she followed me over and waited for me to go through the work with the vendor. So I sucked it up and took her to the mall over there. She spent 45 minutes at the Disney Store and I waited on a bench and played on my phone. We did have a decent lunch and did spend time together. So it was a good day.

 

I give. Besides catching water, what other function do they perform?

 

Absolutely none.

Although when we do get a tad bit of rain I have to go make sure I empty them all out so they don’t become a mosquito breeding ground. They told me I’d have to have them inspected periodically but no one has come as of yet and I’m really tempted to just remove them.

 

...they'd be gone...

I just know as soon as I remove them I’ll get a notice saying they are coming for an inspection.
My wife and I kind of decided they can last through this winter (if you can even call what we get, winter) and then they are going. We’ll just take our chances.

Ikr? Sometimes I think they just stack hoops out in front of people to see how many they'll jump through.

 

This will be the third year. I had to go prove we bought and installed them (contractor wanted $2,000, my wife and I did it for about $300 - rain barrels included). They seemed happy with that and then they did send someone out once to inspect them.
