What app are you using for the map on the first page? Also in North Georgia and I’d love to know where the fire roads and such are.

I use Gaia classic and offline Topo maps bundle in the Apple App Store. I believe they have moved to a subscription service for the newer apps. The classic is just fine.

The maps are kinda updated, kinda not. I gather info on the areas using about 3 different map sources for solid information.

I just look on google maps and say, "Hmm how can I get to that spot."

    Update.

Greeting again! I will be heading over to ECGS to have them replace the needle bearing. I figure a nice drive and peace of mind. I went a few places while I took a leave of absence.

It has also come to my attention that I will not have enough time to make it to the Arctic Circle... Instead I will be going to the some of the national parks on my list to see.DSC02652.jpg

While at ECGS, I came across some TacomaWorld members who gave me a runaround of the area so I was not bored in the waiting room. So a big shout out to @Sandman614 , Thanks for the drive!

How are you liking the rims. Do you notice any difference with the wider stance and I'm guessing lighter wheel?

I am really liking the rims. I did notice a difference with the lightness of the wheel more than the stance. Going up hills the engine does not struggle as much. I’m sure the driving dynamics would have changed some if I did opt for the -25 offset. Still a great wheel. Hope this helps!

Glad to hear of the increase in performance with less unsprung weight. Hope life with less unsprung weight is proving the same, Sil. Good to hear from ya!

Did those rims require any centering rings?

Not that I am aware of. I asked the guy at the tire shop and Dustin at FN Wheels if there were things needed for the rims. Both said all the needed were the lug nuts.

Windows are now tinted. Dark limo for back, and simple tint (not the near illegal) in the front. Will get pics when it stops raining.

LCE header installed last night. Did a 60mile loop and no codes and power you can feel.

Also, when I stopped at a QT, there was an individual who was looking in the store to find a driver of a tacoma. I thought something was wrong...

Nothing was wrong, he wanted to let me know that the rims looked amazing with the color of the truck, so I showed him the truck and told him where to find the rims. Come to find out he owned an older 2.7, but someone totaled his.

Tacoma people, are the good people.

    Great pictures in the thread.
Why did you change the bump stops? Is it common practice while changing the suspension on the Tacos?

    Thanks!

The bump stops were changed to reduce the impact on the frame when hitting a hard sudden bump. These, compared to stock, are thicker and absorb energy better. I can tell a difference between the two. I changed these out a week after the lift was installed, to feel the difference between the two, and it rode a lot better on the FS roads. Let me know if you want pictures.
