My 2nd gen doesnt need a system update to accelerate properly. If youre gonna spend that amount on a truck the raptor makes more sense.

I did not mean to offend. I just meant that before the 3rd gen, I could not have identified a Tacoma, from a Nissan etc.

Trucks were trucks unless they were obnoxiously modified with lights, 12" lifts, loud exhausts or 22" wheels.

The 2016 Tacoma was the first time I noticed a truck that looked different. I like the trend away from the chrome. Before that I had a few FJ Cruiser Trail Teams which I think influenced designers on the kind of colors we now see

I do have a T100 but I keep it in TN and don't get to drive it too often.

No you didnt offend. I love the look of the new tacomas. I just liked toyota for keeping things simple and functional. This transmission issue and the crawl control turns me off. I hope they get rid of crawl control honestly. And yes, no one likes chrome anymore. I just need to get rid of my bumper and ill be chrome free lol

I think car companies are integrating software into the vehicles has not caught up with how they are serviced and maintained.

I would definitely have purchased a version of the truck with a very simple electrical system and minimal software.

I'm pretty sure I did not read an end-user license agreement but it seems par for the course that new vehicle purchases are going to have those front-and-center if they don't already.

I also dislike electrically controlled Transmissions like the Dodge Ram has, and electric emergency brakes.
