Lucas fuel system cleaner is 60 to 100% hydrotreated heavy paraffinic or more commonly known mineral oil. MSDS/SDS sheets are real bubble busters.

Woah really? Perhaps I’ll have to look for something more effective then. Thanks for the heads up

Sea foam is pretty old technology and was originally designed for 2 cycle boat motors. There are better products using PEA. The gumout All-in-One has a lot of PEA. I use that in my gas. The other competing product with sea foam is gumouts multi system cleaner. That also has PEA. I’ve used it very successfully to degunk an old generator by putting it in the oil.

Since SeaFoam is comprised of 80/20 Naphtha and Kerosene mixing the 2 together in the same percentages is proven by every can of SeaFoam that ever rolled off the filing line

Has SeaFoam actually proven to do anything thats another kettle of fish.

I'm seeing lots of "I think it's doing something in there" opinions in this thread.

I run E85 in my FRS and after a lot of research I have found that regular gas burns very dirty mostly because of all the additives used, the ethanol burns clean and is better for the engine if properly tuned for it. So all that smoke you see in the video is creating carbon in the engine. Combined with the pcv system that allows oil to inter the intake, over time carbon is going to build up. It seams a lot of these treatments do a good job of cleaning out the fuel system and carbon..

I think washing your truck gives the same effect of dumping sea foam in your tank.

Yep, every time I wash and wax, the truck always seems to run better.

Yeah, I'd need to see some actual rigorous studies done proving this stuff actually does anything and if so under what conditions. Nothing said in this thread means jack shit.

Great info at that link. Again I have seen it work wonders on engines that have sat for months on end. Mostly boat motors but on some cars too.

Again.......................its not a miracle elixir its genius marketing. Mix 2 readily available inexpensive products together, put in a fancy can and sell t for 10x the profit.
