I just got back to 5 pages of the fun police complaining about this thread staying on topic which isn’t relevant to the topic they are complaining we arent talking about.

1400 pages and some things will never change stop trying to herd the cats, it isn’t going to happen. It is entertaining how upset some people get, others have been here for all 1400 pages and are still here on the regular. If you have an issue, learn how to search and filter. It isn’t that difficult to find the information you are looking for, you just have to try.

 

Matt needs to release 1.05 so we can change the subject!

Doesn’t it seem reasonable that an off topic discussion be created in the off topic area? I’ve pasted it below.

It’s seems logical that if the moderators are going to close the thread if they get more reports of off topic discusssion, that the thread should stay on topic. Please remember that it’s a disservice to Mat if this thread gets closed. I get it breaks up your “fun”, but this thread isn’t about you, it’s about the tune.

I sure hope the thread regulars find my post legitimate despite my post count today. I so hate not being one of the cool kids.

Hey all.....we *may* be trading in the truck this week (possibly tomorrow)....started looking this weekend and shopping escalated quickly. LOL

I'm needing to flash back to stock but don't have the stock file....thought I had it downloaded, but I don't. Been communicating with Mat via email and have asked for the file. Just in case he doesn't get around to my request before I need it, I'm trying to figure out my options in case I end up in a pinch.

I'm on a dongle setup currently running 1.04 (04B03). Is there a way for me to acquire/download the stock file(s) via the flash software or must I get it from him?....or can I get it from someone else here?

 

Pretty sure one of the files on the flash manager is specifically stock tune, I don’t remember since I haven’t touched that in months

 

If you've had the latest TSB or have flashed to 1.04r or 1.05test, is it even possible to flash back to the old "Stock" tune?

You can flash the stock post-tsb calibrations over 1.04R

 

I will check. Thanks. Yeah....last time I used the flash software was back in May/June.....so I don't remember anything.

 

OK.....original files are in flash manager......I'm good to go. It's all coming back to me now....

I’m really looking forward to it. I started on 1.04 and wasn’t impressed. Got 0058 flashed and was really really impressed, then 1.04r added the extra power. I’m honestly happy with 1.04r now. I went from thinking about how it drives the whole time I was driving it to not thinking about it near as much. Finally enjoyable.

My final complaint is the 50mph 4-5-4-5 gear dance on a long uphill,5th gear not strong enough to hold 50, but 4th runs it fast to 50 and then shifts to 5th.....repeat! Maddening.

I’m hoping 1.05 fixes that...not asking people to spill the beans, but could someone with 1.05 please comment on that common issue?

 

I pulled a hill in 5th gear yesterday that gains 1k in elevation in about 3 miles while testing 1.05 no shifting dance at all....but I have a M/T.
