I kind of want to see these prizes now, and may have to rethink my cook.

They still don't do any justice for the quality work you guys do. The laser etched items are spectacular. Can't thank you enough for the contribution.

I'm on my own tonight as my SWMBO is working so I figured I'd do something for dinner and get it into the contest. I decided to go for sweet heat and savory for my entry.

The pork chop has a little regular Pitfaced Meat Massage but mostly the Pitfaced Spicy Meat Massage. I knew I was going to use a bourbon/maple glaze and wanted to compliment that sweetness with some heat. I also added a bit of the spicy Meat Message to the glaze.

I seared the chop on a grill grate, then moved it off to the side, threw on a chunk of apple wood and choked the fire down to finish it with low heat and smoke. About 10 minutes before it was done I brushed on the glaze.

The green beans are the savory bit. Toasted sesame seeds, gochujang paste mixed with soy soy sauce, garlic...

Garlic mashed potatoes with a little bit of thyme and rosemary (bit of cheese as well). Nothing exciting.

Lastly, set up for after dinner - Oban 14 Scotch and Romeo y Julieta Coronitas En Cedro Cuban cigar. The real deal I brought back from the Caymans. It was an interesting adventure getting them back...

I had to put off a second Scotch as I have to go pick up my GF from work tonight, but everything came together and was awesome.

    Looks awesome! Thanks for entering.

Your taste in whiskey is surpassed only by your taste in BBQ rub ;).

    Love that Oban.
