    nope, these are just sheet metal screws you just run in. Although if you bought the hardware you are thinking of, it would be easily removable im guessing.

    That makes sense since there is no real power to the tailgate. At least not in the 2nd Gens.
    I have the power AMP running boards and can’t wait to get rid of those.

    The manual step looks nice. Especially once I install my lift.

    Manual and it works wonders with my 3 inch lift and my dakars in the back. I use it all the time. I've had it on the truck for almost 3 years now!

    Dakars are what I’m going with!

    Every time I try to get my knee up on the tailgate now I know I’m going to need something once the lift is in.

    Ya I cut grass all summer and haul stuff all the time so I'm always in and out of the bed a ridiculous amount of times all day!

    What is the "Max" weight limit it can handle?

    Looks like that would be the berries on flat level ground. Car wash where I would use it most is not perfectly flat.

    I'm planning on buying a bed step but I am leery that it will snap off sometime when my 56 year old 250 pound bulk weight is on it and the corner of the tailgate will catch my cods for the mightiest rack job of all time..

    The ladder can handle more weight than the tailgate can. A good pro.

    If I were more than 200lbs I’d be a little worried about getting on my tailgate out of fear of bending it.

    Maybe the 3rd Gens are less flimsy.

    My thoughts exactly! Ladders are dangerous, nothing to hold onto. OEM bed step is neat and you can hold onto the box. Just my thoughts.

    That Westin Ladder is really nice. I currently have and use quite often a Westin BedXtender. I am wondering if I could mount it so I could use both and they are not in the way of each other.

    It would just be nice if AMP came out with a Bed Step for the right side of the truck. I would buy that in a heartbeat, even though I already have the same one as you.
