Long as you're stock wheel offset shouldn't have to do any clearance mods really. Great thing about the 255 is skinny enough not to cause problems. I haven't hammered pinch weld or CMC and I've rode it hard.

 

Yeah I just did another comparison. In that size the 17s are actually cheaper than 16s across brands, so changes may be on the horizon.

 

I was surprised at how much trimming I am having to do to fit 285 75 16 tires however I cant crank my preload anymore without the shock bodies unthreading on my kings and don't have a large enough spring compressor.
I know there is another inch of lift in there.

 

It’s easy until FedEx loses your box full of brake parts, and then tells you they will never find it, nor cover it’s loss.

 

I ship anything of significant value to my parents house because someone is always home after losing a $1300 turbocharger through FedEx and getting nowhere trying to rectify the situation.

Thank you Sir. Some painters tape on the letter edges and red rattle can paint, and some clear coat. I got impatient with the group buy and I found a US seller on ebay. Shipping was fast, grill and lettering was shipped on the same package.

 

You should probably ask him about tires, 90% of the time its the tires. Its called chopping common in M/T tires

 

Got a new frame under my '05 DCLB in March along with all the other goodies that come with that job...new brake lines, new leaf springs, etc. I had dealer install Bilsteins and SS brake hoses all around I supplied as well as new bushings they provided. Looks great under there so...today I sprayed the heck out of everything with LPS3 in preparation for another Chicago winter. After checking out FF and some other products I went with LPS3 ($60 gallon to my door...used about 3 qts... bush and spray bottle worked fine). I'll see how it does. Calling for a relatively mild winter. See about that too

 

Installed 2” AAL’s today.
Just got tired of the weak TSB spring 1.5” drop in the back.
Now I have an excuse for some 5100’s up front with a slight lift.

 

Just saw this. Had a similar issue and I had just upgraded to a stop tech kit so I knew it wasnt the brakes. Pulled a tire off and had it checked for balance and it was fine...inspection of the treads showed uneven wear between every other siping. Rotated all 5 tires...shakes went away...new tires are on the way as well.

 

Not much clearancing to do with that size tire. They work really well. If you have stock suspension you may have to do a little but if lifted (other than maybe removing the mudflaps) probably nothing

Clay bared the paint buffed it out , now ready for hunting season and whatever the woods throws at me!

 

No drill? Will they work with a dc also?

 

Replaced PCV valve. The new one is a little larger than the old one. Old one was 19mm and I don’t have a 20mm socket. A 7/8” socket worked pretty well though.

Old one is original and has 130,000 on it. Still rattles but looks like hell. Def past time to replace it.
