I've seen this combination plastered all over TW and the rest of the web so I know it works nicely. I understand that with the 5100s set at 0 with the OME 885s you end up with roughly 2.75in in the front. In order for my truck to sit level, do I need a block or an AAL in the rear or will the complimentary 5100s for the rear make it sit close to level.

My truck is a 2018 TRD Off Road Double Cab. Stock bumpers all the way around.

2.75 inches of lift is for the 2015 and older model. For a 2018 your going to have to go with a different coil. The 3rd gen Tacoma’s come with a stiffer spring rate so you don’t get the same lift results with that coil on the 3rd gens. Also shocks in the rear will not give you any lift. They’re recommended to use with a lift because they allow the suspension to travel farther without getting to the end of the shock stroke. You will need an aal or block. Aal will be better. If you’re unsure about what you want I highly recommend contacting @HeadStrong Off-Road they can get you pointed in the right direction.

You need 888 coils to achieve that same amount of lift. And I recommend an AAL in the rear.

I ended up going with Bilstein 5100s all the way around. OME 887 coils. And Deaver AAL’s in the back. Hoping for a 2 to 1 level look and then slap some 33 skinny’s on it.

With 885s and 5100s up front alone, you would be nose high for sure! A 1” block or AAL in the rear would make you about level.

The Deaver AALs say 1.5-2” and the 887s say 2.25” on Hesdstrong website so hoping that’ll give me close to level with less than 1 inch rake. Stock my truck sits at 21in from center hub to fender in front and 22in in rear.
