    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There are several oil threads on here already, many in the 2nd Gen section.

They go downhill very quickly and just resort to people having pointless arguments.

I’ll start us off though. I use full synthetic and go for the longest OCI I can get. I drive 25-30k miles per year and if I can go 20k before a change I will.

Mobil 1 Annual Protection is awesome. Amsoil is probably the best oil brand that does true synthetic (most synthetics are no true full synthetics) oils with the longest OCI.

Mobile 1 seems to be the preferred choice for most of us on TW.

I use Mobil 1 because they have $12 rebates on 5 Quart jugs, good oil and the price is cheap with the rebates.

Mobil 1 is fine and I will probably use it after my oil change package I bought from the dealer runs out. For the diff and transfer case I use the Toyota stuff. Sure, other things probably work but $100 every 30,000 for the stuff the engineers specified isn’t too bad.

M1 left a bad taste in my mouth in the past. I use it still occasionally, if on sale. But I stick to Valvoline, Penn, or OEM. I tried Amsoil in the past with good results. Just don't think it is worth the hassle of trying to find and the extra cost. Blackstone UOA results really showed no advantage compared to other oils for me.

Save that stuff till after the warranty period is over as you still have to change every 10k

Back in the early 2000’s. Used it in my car I used to race. It worked fine but burned off quite a bit. It seemed to be thinner than other motor oils. I was burning 1/2 qt every 1k miles where others were 1/4 at 3k. Asked Mobil but got the “eh, beat it” response. Won’t be going out of my way to use their product. Besides, all other oils seem to be doing just fine.
