Honestly I'm a bit disturbed by the amount of violence people are willing to jump to online. Can you imagine how absolutely terrible the person who hit these kids feels? They're going to have to live with this the rest of their life. The guilt of causing this much pain to the children's parents? Its just sad all the way around.

What could possibly be the "whole story" that would render her not guilty of atleast three counts of 1st degree murder if not homicides.? She a known speeder and disreguards traffic laws. The only excuse is her eyes were not on the road ahead. Period. Bad choices usually end with bad results 99% of the time and she mad a bad choice

 

I too do not have a law degree.

None of you knows all the details of what happened here. Not a single one of you. Obviously a tragic loss of life- but with no details we're all pitchforks and lynch mobs? Are you kidding? Then we have captain hard-ass up here "I would have no remorse taking her life"- yeah that's called a mental disorder, get that looked at.

This is literally everything that is wrong with the fucking internet. I'm sure that poor girl who is still traumatized over a mistake that will change her life forever is already getting constant death threats from similar lowlifes. And how quickly you'll all forget the next time you're texting your friends on the road, all this virtue signalling about distracted driving.

 

You need to read and understand the criminal counts of murder.

1st Degree murder requires malice and forethought. Which means she had to know those children and had to have planned to kill them by timing their bus stop in the morning and thus timing her mow down.

Everyone has broken traffic laws.

You don’t know the situation. You are making an assumption the kids were already in the road as she passed the bus, probably not the case since she hit 4 at a time.

There are only a few things more worrisome than a person thinking they are infalliable to mistakes.

By the way, the American justice system is innocent until proven guilty. Not guilty until proven innocent like you think it is.

 

You are right the internal guilt she feels is punishment enought.

 

Why is this thread still open?

 

If she's guilty of negligence she could be charged with murder but it will most likely be plead down to manslaughter

 

So sad. Another reason to hug your kids a little bit longer. You never know what tomorrow brings.

Drinking coffee while driving is distracted driving. In the state next to me it's against the law to eat or drink while driving. This is also why states are banning more and more distractions. It's ALL distracted driving
