    Howdy!

HARD rain started around 5pm yesterday. Still pouring. So....No outside work today. Not a lot to do inside. Damn the luck....

    Good Morning All :hattip:

Today is wifes birthday. She took the day off and slept in. I got up early to make her a cake. She knows I made it to make feel guilty because she didn't make me a cake on my birthday. I guess I will take her out for breakfast. She is meeting with Travel Agent to make plans for trip to Florida next spring.

They have a plant just a few mile south of me in Lormira. My stepson worked there one summer.

Breakfast at local diner was interesting today. Four locals were at counter talking political, heathcare, armed guards in church, ,pretty much everything that's debatable. Waitress asked how's the food. I said good, and the conversation was interesting. One of the guys turned and waved me over to join in. I said no thanks. Wife said I should go there more often and join in, I could make some new friends.

Well....Not reading too much into it, but just had my first go round with new boss. Our "Food & Beverage Director" is in charge of the bartenders. They refuse to do anything except pour drinks. They're here 8 hours a day, but work MAYBE 3. The other 5 hours they SHOULD be cleaning their bar areas. They don't. Their boss doesn't make them. We have a fruit fly infestation. That is the direct result of dirty bars....Liquor creates sticky sugar. Sugar draws fruit flies. I say make the bartenders clean. Their boss says I should spend a small fortune spraying and "bombing" them every Monday. Pest control company says they're amazed we don't have MORE fruit flies. My boss takes the F&B managers side. So.... We'll spend an extra $2000 A WEEK (unbudgeted) in spraying.

Apparently my 29-1/2 years of experience was wasted when a 22 year old F&B person knows more.

    Come on August 5th.
