I'm sure states vary, but in Washington, RCW 46.61.100 says you are 100% wrong.

I often drive a ten wheel dump truck for work and drive 50-60 on the highway depending on where I am in los angeles. It amazes me how often I have to pass a Prius or sometimes even sports cars that cannot seem to do 50 mph. I blame alot of this on texting though people do this 50mph swervey text driving.

You might want to check yourself on that thought. Many states have laws that do not agree with your statement, including Texas.

She actually does keep to the right except when there is an upcoming exit ramp on the left side in which case riding in the left or center lane is essential to cleanly make the exit no matter what speedy you're going.

I drive mine like I want to. Not the fastest off the green, but not the slowest. 18.5 mpg average in town, and she purrs when I give her the gas.

I wish my wife drove like that. When I take her car in for service, I tell them to check the oil and change the brakes.

My girlfriend had a 2008 Chevy Aveo before we acquired the 2005 Colorado 5spd. The aveo had a full brake rebuild in September of 17', by March 18' the front right rotor was roasted. Your pain is mutual.

Just stay out of the left lane. The only time I’m getting on the horn is when someone’s cruising in the passing lane with a line of cars behind them.

For what it’s worth driving under the speed of traffic is just as dangerous as driving over it.

You will 100% get pulled over for cruising in the left lane doing the speed limit holding traffic up in Texas, which is how it should be.

The problem with "staying out of the left lane" or "hugging the left no matter how fast you're going" is that the moment you pull into the middle or right lane, you get trapped by all the cars merging and end up having to slow waayy down to let them in. It's an irritating fact, either you stay in the left lane preventing people from passing or you yourself are forced to slow down to wait for all the idiots who cant or wont understand how an on ramp works. :annoyed:

Damned if you do damned if you dont...

I drive the speed limit since I bought my Tacoma. I like driving relaxed now over driving fast. I get weird looks sometimes cuz everyone in Colorado drives like they’re bipolar. It’s funny to set cruise control and have the same person pass you multiple times because they pick the wrong lane to be in.
