    12 psi peak so far.

After I get all this crap dialed in and where I want it to I will likely switch back to the 2.5 when it comes time to smog since it is black and color and matches better with what stock should look like. Reverse the FPR mod and throw the stock intake back on (again, all for smog purposes), but as of right now I want to push the limits of this thing.

Yeah, stupid emissions regulations. We don't have them in this province, so I can only imagine how stupid that must be. I don't know what I'd do if we did have them... there should be a UCON mode that can be used for tailpipe emissions or something, might give terrible performance but would provide improved emissions. Kind of like the clean diesel defeat software that the european car manufacturers all use.

For us it's more visual issues. The tensioner is cool because no one gives a hell nor even knows what an OE one should look like, as well as the crank because no one is looking for it, but the upper blower pulley is a big deal, as well as incorrect vacuum routing according to the under hood label (which we should have someone print a copy of it except with the FPR mod hooked up instead on it, and then intakes are always a big deal to California even though it literally does NOTHING to affect emissions in any way. So stupid.

I'm so proud of that tensioner though. 1 of 1 unique mod as I literally fought to make it work and fit all correctly in the arm setup. Lol.

Yeah, that tensioner is a beautiful thing you did there. I love those satisfying hack mods that no one can see, but they make you feel so good and you know how beautiful they are despite never looking at them again.

It's just so satisfying to know that it will NEVER be an issue again on the serpentine system and the way the pulley rests on it is so beautiful. Like full on inner bearing engagement throughout both of them the idler just moves so slow and crisp by hand and it makes me feel good knowing that amount of rolling love will be handling my blower pulleys from here on forward.

Yes, and less torque required to spin the idler means more torque going to the wheels.

It was due to Uncle Rodney's visit to Werty, that URD lowered the redline on boosted files, unless the engine was built.

I haven't checked any recent posts on XRU, to know, nor have I updated the list in years. As of the last update of mine, his was still the quickest. Blower, X-1, NOS.

NOS, well that would definitely help his 1/4 times. No wonder!

On the topic of high quality bearings has anyone found a superior set for the s/c?

No. Just curious for what could be out there when it's time for a refresh.

Its going to be a long time before they do.

If and when that time comes you can get 6203 SKF or NTN bearings or you can search for Ceramics. I believe @loginfailed knows where to find cermics, but they are EXPENSIVE from what I am aware of.

You think like me, "how could doing this proactive maintenance also be as an opportunity to upgrade?"

    Like this?
Decided a few days ago to install @Roostfactor pulley wrap mod and change out the gear oil and coupler while in there and to my expectation found this, broken spring in the coupler which was causing alot of intermittent knocking at idle and loud clunk at engine shutdown. All fixed
Checked the rotor packs as well, no chips or corrosion So bearings are still good and tight.

I used a stethoscope beforehand so I suspected it. It of those rare times where I was glad when I saw that it was broken and not the rotors making contact

Mine didn’t need a stethoscope when my spring coupler failed. Sounded like a box of rocks in the supercharger!!

I was very concerned, until I found out it was common to replace them with a solid coupler. Definitely the way to go. Nice work
