Looks like the date is set at the 17th. If someone wants to make a different thread for the 3rd (whoever’s idea it was) we can have two going and get a head count for each.

As far as this thread is concerned, I am coming to the trip on the 17th. I vote for a head count and a poll regarding location. Stampede to Greenwater sounds like a good time to me though.

Hi I'm new here. I met two guys with matching white modified Toyota pickups in Redmond a while ago that suggested I join this forum to find more friends to Offroad with. Hope you guys don't mind, I drive a GX470. We're all part of the Toyota 4x4 family right? Jeep groups aren't very inviting lol. Looking forward to joining the November 17 trip. I also I'm considering doing a route from Cabin Creek and around Naches pass to the 410 this Saturday if there's anyone that would want to join me. I've been up in the mountains around there quite a bit over the years so I know a few routes and there's so many left to discover.

Welcome! I can't speak for everyone, but I'm pretty sure all are welcome, even those Jeep guys.

    I don't think you're even the only GX around here. @Nimitz ?

One of the best one liners, ever. : D

I agree, in that I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. I guess my line of thought would be to find a spot after the 4x'ing if there was time left and those who wished to join could do so. That said, I can always keep the toys at home for another day. :)

    Hey there,
Just moved to Puyallup from Phoenix, AZ. I'd love to join in on this trip. I was reading the main meetup page and people were talking about the different trails there are...my CV's are shot currently and need to be replaced...I hope that won't be an issue for whichever trail is decided.

There was a comment about running Stampede to Greenwater on the 17th. In my experience, this can be done in 2Hi with some momentum esp if you have a locker, but it is easier on the driveline to be in 4Hi for some of the rutted climbs and over washboard. This came from my Ural days. In 1wd, I could hear the final drive whining as it loaded and unloads on rutted and washboard climbs. Running in 2wd (solid lock), everything was smoother and the FD seemed happier since it was loaded evenly.

This is the route that I used in the past:
    https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27204759

There are a lot of offshoots that folks with more knowledge can comment on.

Also, the total dirt is only about 30mi on that particular route. It was a long day for a slow-ass Ural with a group of folks. The Taco does it with ease.

    Agreed.

A headcount would probably be good and honestly any caravan over 8 trucks is just gonna turn a trail into a parking lot.

If the headcount is really big I would float the idea to divide and conquer! One group with can go first and fast (perhaps guy's who wanna farm lead) and everybody meet up after at the tavern place @JimSnell suggested.
