Corrosion on transfer case?

    Took the taco in for a rustcoating spray today and they didn't spray on a few areas because they said it was unnecessary:

    top of gas tank - said they shouldnt spray there
    exhaust pipes - said it would just burn off
    transfer case - said this won't rust.

    Just making sure all the above is correct?
