Going in for my 1st 5k Toyota Care Service. What should I expect?

Whats on the list of items they do on this service? Oil and filter and what else?

 

I’m woundering if they do a Transmission update?

 

Oil is at 10k

Also another semi related question. If I only drive 7000 miles a year that would mean I go in at 6 months instead of 5k right?

 

A tire rotation and they will send you on your way.

 

Tire rotation, mult-point inspection, inspect and adjust fluid levels - per the brocure. You get oil and filter at 10k.

 

Not unless you complain and there is an update available that might cover you complaint.

 

Tell them you are aware of the TSB, and that you are taking the truck to the mountains.

You would like TSB installed.

 

Just had my 5k done and it also listed lubrication of key chassis parts along with the tire rotation.

 

Fresh donuts. A sexy pants suit somewhere hopefully. Stale coffee (drink it anyway). Go sit in the 86 and post a selfie. Eat as many foods as they can dish out.

 

Basically nothing. I skipped mine.

Rotate tires
Fill up washer fluid
Exit

 

I just got an email for my 6 month 5k service from my dealer, looks like on the services they put 5k synthetic as a line item. Now I feel like a dummy because I am currently at 7k and changed the oil myself at 5.

What are your thoughts here, should I bring it in and let them do the 5k service or just wait till 10k.

P.S., they're also gonna check my driver side floor mat

 

To maintain full warranty, I believe you need to have those done. I could be wrong, but they are weasels typically and that just gives them one more excuse.

 

Your warranty is good for the time frame no matter if you never take it back to the dealer.

Just eat as many free cookies as you can. I always ask for a couple camo hats.

 

I get oil/filter once a year.

 

I told them I refuse to change oil at 10k and they said they will honor 7K

 

ya 5k seemed more like a waste of time than anything to me

 

Has anybody had any issues with putting on a different set of tires and them not rotating because it's not original
