I uhh...peeled the stickers off. Does that count?
New to trucks and bought a 2018 DCLB 3 weeks ago. I haven't dont any offroading outside of dirtbikes and 4-wheelers as a kid and I have never been here (https://www.haspinacres.com/)

Has anyone had experience here and could guide me (lightly) in to my off road world?

Lived in Bloomington most of my adult life and never got to visit once. I've seen some guys in the Indiana thread talk about it years ago but that thread is completely dead.

Try the "tri state" indiana Ohio, kentucky thread. I'm certain I've seen some posts about a get together over there sometime. Maybe it's already over.

    Where are you in indiana?

Hey @Matic, I'm in Cincy but when I googled somewhere to get me shiny new truck dirty, Haspin came up as "The Place". Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Haven't been there since 2006 3wheelerworld.com trikefest! :bikewhoops:

As I recall trails were good a lot of clay that is slick when wet and the camping was adequate.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you. The link worked fine. Maybe they changed the name.

I've got a buddy that lives in cinci. Drives a lifted Rubicon. He's been to a bunch of different places just south of you in KY .
I'll be coming thru probably 1st week of Jan to visit him since him and his wife bought a new house there. Actually, just outside cinci.

There's a bunch of guys in that tri state thread that would know more than me though. It's usually pretty active.

So, I hate to sound like a newb/dumbass but I'm searching here for the "Tri State Thread/Forum" and I can't find it. Any chance you could point a brother to the right direction?

Dredging up this old thread because I just searched Indiana.

I raced dirt bikes and quads down at Haspen (Laurel as we called it) into my early 20's. Its been 10 years or so since I have been down there. The fire trail is pretty mild and there are a few spots that you could venture off of it in a stock truck. But most of the "jeep" trails in the woods are pretty intense. I wouldn't even think about getting too far off the main trail without a winch, aromor, a lift, and at least 33"s. A lot of the trails have really tight turns, even for single cab jeeps. For sure going to end up with some new pin stripes.

Badlands has a few more things to do if you are stock. But it gets pretty intense the farther off the main trail you get. Especially with all the rain we have had this year.

I rode quite a few Hare Scrambles there in the '80's and '90's. It was a wallowed out mud hole then. No rules...Wild crowd....

Been in/on various parts of DBBB over the years. Love the place. It's getting reamed lately. 2 years of wet weather and a LOT of traffic....

I just started reading through the "red river gorge meet" thread. It looks really rutted up. Not surprising since we had rain for a month and a half straight this year. My assumption is they get off the official DBBB, given the comments in the thread.

We are just looking to get off the beaten path and explore a little bit. Do a little camping and exploring, nothing too crazy.
