13 business days after account is paid off, spent nearly 8 hours on the phone babysitting, no call back on three occasions from supervisors. But Bank of the Worst finally sent out the trailer title! It wasn't expedited like they said it would be, but I'll take it.

Not going to fully celebrate until it's in my hand... Hopefully... Soon.

@Martyinco what coupler lock do you have? The one i have doesn't work well on the new trailer.

I am a porter and stout fan but IPAs have been growing on me. I like tgt left hand ones and a few others but lots of porters/stouts just taste like burnt toast coming out of an asshole

Nope but found a similar style one that I'll try. Blaylock ones i found webbed to be for the bulldog style couplers.

Winch wiring also on the way, now i need the rest of that setup.

Anyone know the correct way to shorten a winch cable? Google only shows replacing it with synthetic. Fairly certain I won't have much use for a full 100ft of cable. And winch line will likely rub on the trailer when the front bumper gets close to the bottom of the ramps which i figure cable will be better for.

Winching your old Taco on the trailer, i had quite a bit of line out with all the rigging we did. I'd keep it i tact.
Tow truck drivers don't need much either to pull a vehicle on a piggy back, but they usually still have a full spool.
Just noticed from the numerous times my GMC was loaded onto a tow truck.
And that bitch is heavy too, still winched it up on the top layer of winch cable.

run down to Harbor Freight and pick this one up today.
I've been happy with it, have one on both trucks. Rebuildable too
ran a Smittybilt for about a year, then it crapped out.
Bring a coupon and you will get it for even less.

Steel? There is a place down here that can shorten the wire and crimp on a new end

Yeah, i guess it'll be easier to just leave it on there. Doesn't look like the weather will cooperate for a foundation, so at least I have a project to keep me busy!

    Good knowledge right there!

Shittibilt 9500 on the way, I'll probably just leave all the cable.

Not usually a fan of their stuff, but I didn't buy my first one that was an x20 10k. It probably had more use than most winches around here. I regularly used it with CO 4x4 Rescue and Recovery when it first started up, used it plenty on other people's rigs and on mine for self recovery. I'd say 50 uses in the year or so i had it, most being good heavy loads.

Only issue i had once was using it wirelessly on a recovery with a second same winch parked alongside my truck. He was also using wireless and they were getting confused so he went wired and then there was no issue.

Edit, second complaint was that the wireless controller had to be taken apart to access the battery, and the battery was some sort of dumb size (and it was labeled incorrectly on the face of the controller).

I've wanted to try Superwinch, but it's $50 more...maybe next time. Shittibilt was only $300 shipped.
