Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I have a request in for the same thing. If you can do mine too I would greatly appreciate it.

 

So then if the scenario that TC_Mic mentioned occurs we don’t have to worry about 1.05 (with included TSB) showing up anything funky if Toyota needed to apply another TSB in the future?

I think this is the biggest outlying question that is unanswered

 

Toyota only sees your calibration ID which does NOT change when you flash OVTune.

ONLY thing toyota can see is miles/time since DTC reset. And that is reset when you flash or unplug your battery. So if they ask anything about that, just say you unplugged your battery one day.

If you have a tune and go to dealer for a new update, the toyota flash will overwrite it.

I was running 1.04 and flashing to B04 and this is what showed up (same as dealer)

 

Mat has said the ECU ID will change with 1.05

i have had regular fun on STMaxx tires over 105mph.

but i'm not saying where. (if you're a confident tire driver, it's not so scary. if you don't know what a tire driver is, then it's beyond terrifying.)

 

I don’t know what a “tire driver” is. But ive done multiple track days with speeds exceeding 140 in a tuned audi S5.

Elaborate on this “tire driver” thing?

@OVTune I’m sure this has been answered somewhere, but do I need to flash back to stock in order for Toyota to do the tsb? Can they see 1.04?

We are starting in Las Cruces, heading up to Truth or Consequences, and will run the NMBDR from there to as far as we make it. Hopefully to the end

1.04r 91 octane review:
600 miles on tune/ 51,800 on truck.
If my truck drove like this when I bought it, I would have never complained about the way it drives.

Shifting is much better.
Cruise control works so much better - it will lug 5th gear up moderate grades at 40-50mph easily without kicking down to 4th.

Extra weight: Bumper, Winch, Skids, Sliders, and Shell
Suspension: +2” on Fox 2.5/2.0

If I read the OP correctly, I don't need to flash to TSB on order to get 1.05, I just need to patiently sit my ass down and wait till that version is released?

My dealer won't do the TSB. Can not duplicate issues....
