This am my girl said to me...

“You give that dog more love and affection than you give me.”

    I said...

“A dogs love is unconditional, where as your partners is conditional. When you start loving me unconditionally, I will throw you a bone.”

20181030_193234.jpg cone of shame time isn't as bad with this one. Its called zen cone and he hasn't tried to take it off for 3 days now. Now if he would just stop licking his hotspots that would be great

I sure wish mine would wear a cone. Hes normally super relaxed. For whatever reason he hates it. He was bit by a dog yesterday that required stitches inside his ear. I'm using vacation time to sit with him while it heals up. I'm afraid he'll cause more damage with a cone on.

He used to tear the plastic ones off and we would come home to it dragging behind him or chewed up in the corner. This is canvas and clear plastic and doesn't bother him. Wife likes it because he can't smash into her legs with it and cut her lol

Can he climb stairs with it? Wife’s Corgi would winge and sulk when he wanted to climb the back stairs into the house with it on as it would force a full stop every time.

Sadie looks like she is all business when it comes to hunting. If you lived closer, I'd be tempted to ask if I could tag along on a hunt just to watch her do her thing.

I've never hunted myself, but my stepdad took me pheasant, dove, and duck hunting when I was a kid. I was about 9 or 10. One guy he hunted with had a GSP named Club. I thought it was the coolest thing watching him work.

@2BeersPlease You are more than welcome. I usually only go out for a couple hours, in the morning. You could include it with some other activity. Rio Vista is a short run from Sac.

Finally decided to start looking for another dog after losing Ruger, friend of a friend just happened to have 10 puppies from AKC registered parents, dad is a black lab who is a hunter (7 years old) and mom is a chocolate lab who is 5 (according to the owner it’s her first litter) and is a house dog.
I got to spend some time with all 10 pups and this one was active but not overly so, was already trying to retrieve/play with sticks, and he is fairly social but wasn’t afraid to be on his own.
He’s 5 weeks old and I can get him in about 3 weeks, parents don’t show signs of hip displaysia and are very mellow.
