The Off Road models come with the 4600s stock.

If you are going to spend he money at least go to 5100’s. unless the 4600’s are priced extremely low and changing parts is a hobby.

The stock shocks are not 4600s. They are a 36 mm pistoned shock that is produced by Bilstein to Toyota specs and packaged to look like a 4600. They are the smallest diameter shock Bilstein produces.

What type of offroading are you doing? What shortcomings have you noticed with the current setup?

4600s and 5100s will, in general, improve the on-road handling of the truck but that comes at the price of them being really stiff around town. The digressive nature of the valving in those shocks means the small bumps around town are all noticeable. They do smooth out on the highway though.

So far I’ve had no problems with the stock shocks. I go off road but nothing extreme. If it gets too rough I’ll walk...... thanks fellas for the info.
