Really, you need to see a spec. sheets for a Toyota filter? It isn't that complicated, after all its a Toyota Tacoma not a space shuttle, keep oil in it and it will damn near last forever. I change the oil and filter at 7,000 using Toyota filter and Mobil 1 oil. I have more faith in a Toyota filter then any other brand at this point.

Go to the site http://www.shopfiltermag.com/ and see the photographic evidence, and: http://www.shopfiltermag.com/how-it-works/. Even the best $15 oil filter can not filter in the range of 3 to 15 microns. Hell no, they ain't cheap, but they (2) are a one time purchase that you can even transfer (assuming your filter is within its size range). And yes, they have magnets for transmissions and gear pumpkins. I go even further with a third "crown" style mag filter: http://magnafilter.com.au/magna-filter.html

I just love Billy's common sense and his explanations rooted in fact, not fantasy = we need more posts like his IMHO.

I wouldn't obsess over a factory supplied oil filter on a new vehicle. Think about it for a moment. Your new vehicle is under warranty. Do you think they'd put a piece of crap filter on your brand new car or truck and risk having to replace a few thousand engines under warranty?
