Looks good Matt. My only question is what happens at a stop? Lets say I'm in S5 and then come to complete stop without manually downshifting. When I start accelerating is it still in 5th or does it start in 1st and climb the gears automatically to 5th.

Never mind watched video again and he had some text that said near idle will downshift for safety.

It will go to 1rst and you will have to climb the gears again, if not it will climb for you at predetermined shift points, but the shift points aren't ideal for normal driving,

Also you can pin the limiter in each gear if you want,

I like this feature. Maybe normal driving D and S-gears (ECT off) and “Insane” with (ECT on)S-gears!

I have been campaigning for this specific feature since the beginning, and caught a lot of crap from others about wanting it. The ability to manually shift an auto transmission is badass. There are a lot of manufacturers that do this in their vehicles from the factory. OVT basically fixed the biggest issue with the Tacoma auto trans by doing this!

That is really incredible, and I would like the feature in my truck.

Is that you driving in the video, Mat?

Huge kudo to Mat for including the S-Mode ECT gear selector feature with 1.05 release. He could have easily charge another $50 premium or whatever for this added feature. So for that, thank you sir :hattip: Oh and please, don't get any ideas :D

The only reason I haven't been squawking for it is that I'm pretty sure the Alpha thread said it wasn't possible. Now that I see it is, YES PLEASE.

This should be an optional tune, not standard functionality in 1.05 as it significantly changes the truck's operation. I use "S" and ECT for towing per the owner's manual, and I don't want to be forced to manually shift. I may try it, and decide that I like it, but I want the ability to leave "S-ECT" operation as-is.

Matt has said it will be an optional tune.

Thanks. I’ve reviewed all of Mat’s posts both here and in the alpha thread, and I can’t find where he specifically stated that it’s optional.

I already admired your skills, but now I feel that I know you a little better.

What you are offering here is a step function, game changing option. Congratulations and thank-you.
