    Hi all,

So I just replaced my stock wheels and tires with my new bf Goodrich ko2 265/75/R16 with 16x8 xd135 or grenade wheels put on my 2018 Tacoma OR. I love the setup but am experiencing rubbing when I make sharper turns going slow. Are there any solutions to fixing this? Was thinking about maybe trimming a bit or getting a lift kit hoping that it would fix this. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Maybe try sanding down the tires where they rub?

I think you just need to trim the plastic area at the back of the wheel well. Also a heat gun to reshape it.

You can do one of these.
    1. Get a lift
    2. Get smaller tires
    3. Hammer the pinch Weld
    4. Heat gun the plastic

Wheel spacer? Wondering if its the offset on the wheel causing it. Never heard of anyone with rubbing on 265s.

It usually rubs on the mud flap area if it does.
I wonder if he got an alignment done. Maybe he can get a little more caster to push that wheel forward.

I definitely don’t want to get smaller tires but I think it may be the offset causing this. Is a wheel spacer a reliable solution?

Nope no alignment done and I do think it’s rubbing on the mud flaps. I just had these tires installed two days ago

I would get that checked first, more caster will move the tire further forward in the wheel well. Looking to get 3 on caster
    0 on toe and camber

I 2nd this. Less evasive and not having to cut up a brand new truck. Angle grinder or even a belt Sander with some 50grit

OP are those wheels really -6 mm offset like their website says? They look like they have positive offset to me.

Yeah they are actually -6! The picture really makes them look positive and I was a bit surprised when I actually got the wheels in person

Get your alignment adjusted with your caster at 3.0 or higher. That should fix the rubbing issues.

Thanks, I have -12 offset on my 16x8's so sounds like there's a chance I may rub if I move up 1 tire size...

I couldn’t believe it when I heard it rubbing the first time. Everywhere and everyone I talked to said that it wouldn’t rub with the 265/75/16 tires

Or, just cut a notch where the tire and mudflap hit...
