Fireball tools or just a copy that you made up?

guy I work with bought a table. Said it was the best choice he ever made. Both for himself and he makes a good amount just doing cuts for people. Made good money off people who just brought in stuff and asked for it to be cut. Charged for the cut and the programming. Want to say he had it paid off in like 3 years just from doing other peoples cuts.

Course I'm not sure how much he advertised that he could do it or anything to know how hard he pushed for the business

The pattern is open sourced. It is similar to Fireball. Fire ball tool versions are much nicer and a lot more money. If you want the absolute best, get a Fireball version.

I would be afraid to use one of Jason's. They are beautiful. Mine are ment to be beat to shit and then beat back to shape.

The fireball ones are cast iron, so they can't be tack welded to the fab table. They need to be clamped. My fab table has no holes do these work great for the guys that don't have tables with clamping holes. I don't want to start an argument about fab tables, I like my solid top table.

I thought you just made it. Turned out nice. I thought fireball tools used to offer a weld it yourself option but I don't see it anymore. Cast is probably better anyways (for them). If I had a plasma/water jet table I'd make some for myself lol....someday maybe :)

I laugh when people bitch about what someone uses to do work. Solid table vs fab tables, tig vs mig, chop saw vs band saw...who fing cares, use what you want and what makes you money.

Maybe I need to find that pattern.
I could actually draft that pretty easily.
    Second plasma table project? :)

Got a quote today from Lincoln on their new 4800 plasma table. Hopefully everything goes as planned after the new year and the wife lets me put a 20x20 steel building out back. It might cost me my 3rd gen but I'm hoping early next year.

I think most of us have at least that in our trucks so not really a bad deal considering you can call a company as big as Lincoln for part and service.

Considering I would have around 60k in a brand new shop, plasma table, used lathe and I've got my eye on a local Bridgeport it's not all that bad. Selling the Tacoma would pay for the machine.

And for those people that think you shouldn't see any weld.

    Dude. No! Just no
My shop is 15 minutes drive from Lincoln's CNC table manufacturing building here in Reno, and yet I do not have one of them. Way overpriced for what you get.

Get one of these instead and you'd have more machine, better service, cheaper replacement parts if necessary, and a lot more $$ in your pocket for other things.

I haven't completely made my mind up on machines, I was getting a ballpark together to talk everything over with my wife. I had a ballpark of around 50k that should get me to a point where I'm able to make about anything with reliable equipment.

    Was 20'x20' a typo ?? You won`t be able to move !

Unless this is just extra storage space for metal and parts storage .

You know in the UK guys who blend make top rate. The top tier finish guys make more than mid pack welders .

I'm only 1 person and I have a 16x24 that I can use for storage and other. I can get a 25 x 60 back there so I can adjust if needed. Just getting estimates so I can plan a budget.
