    Green doesn’t sell, they won’t make it. Maybe another cup holder or USB port. Will be 99% the same as 2016-2019.

    I always wander why no green as well. My first 03 Tacoma was green. I loved that color. I still see lots of 1st gens in my area that are green and maroon.

    Because green was in in 2003, not 2019.

    Floral wallpaper was also in in 2003. That’s the year the previous owner of my house hung some. I ripped it out the day after we closed.

    I don’t know, you seem to be very hesitant to buy a Tacoma. If you’re not sold on it then find something else.

    So, I have allot of experience in product development.

    I will use some of the language to describe what I believe is happening at Toyota regarding mid-size pickup market.

    We are currently in the sustaining phase for 3rd gen. New features are added, or not by evaluating cost vs. benefit. TSS in 2018 is an example of an expensive improvement Toyota added during sustaining phase.

    The define phase of the 4th gen development is where the product parameters are set. This happens 36 to 24 mo. before a new product is launched, and may have started as early as 2016. The most important thing here is that regardless when it started, most important is when define phase ended.

    The timing could not be worse for Toyota....if it ended define phase in 2017 on an accelerated 24mo schedule then the 2020 may be a 4th gen, but it would likely not bring the inprovements that many on the forum want to see.

    If they have not ended define phase then we are 24 mo away from the earliest 4th gen. So that means the 2022 will be 5th gen, and have major improvements to stay relevant vs. new market pressure.

    I believe this to be the case, and that means deeper discounts on the trims that have traditionaly not had to discount.

    That means the 2019, 2018, 2017, & 2016 TRD pro will either....
    - Hold value as Toyota decides not to build the Pro in the same qnty.
    - Be mildly hurt because new Pro pricing.
