Going to start this thread and will update as I get things done. There may not be a whole lot going on until the 1st of the year since I didn't even think I'd have the truck until mid November. So far I have put the husky liners in and have a faux pro grille on the way...we'll see how that turns out and whether I decide to use it or just get an OEM instead. So nothing too exciting going on with it just yet.

For a little backstory, I decided I wanted to start doing some more traveling and long road trips in my 06 Tahoe with 6" lift and 35's is not the most enjoyable experience. I knew I wanted something that would be capable off road and after about a year of debating Jeep, Frontier Pro-4X, Colorado ZR2, 4Runner, and Tacoma...I just kept coming back to the Tacoma.

Well, I got a text from the sales guy I was working with on September 28th asking when I could come by to get the order in for my 2019...just so happened that my birthday is September 28th. I went by after work on October 1st and went over what I wanted, cement DCSB TRD Offroad 4x4 with manual transmission and without the technology or premium package and no added accessories other than power tailgate lock. He said it should be about 6-8 weeks...I got an email October 8th saying my truck would be arriving 10/22. They managed to snag one in port and have the power tailgate lock added...another coincidence is the build date for the truck was September 28th. What are the odds of getting a truck that shares it's build date with my birthday? Obviously tomorrow is 10/22, I've had the truck since the 16th...everything has been way ahead of what I planned for.

Here are the pics I was sent on the 16th letting me know it had arrived. More to come once I get the first trip planned and start getting parts ordered.

Just to give an idea of some things to come...
SOS Offroad Concepts for armor(I'm only about 1.5hrs from there)
    Diamondback bed cover
    Alumax rack
265/75/16 KM3's on the stock wheels for now
still undecided on the lift and aftermarket wheels...once I see what the suspension situation is like with my typical travel load and the added weight from bumpers, skids, etc. I'll figure all that out.

I decided to go ahead and get a pair of KB Voodoo high rise crossbars so I have a lower center of gravity option and to hold me over until I get the Alumax rack. Managed to get enough time today to get them and the Diamondback SE cover installed along with the Husky Liners bed mat. Have the 265/75/16 KM3's on now as well. Here's a few pics, it almost makes my Tahoe look like it should be stock height...and that's a 6" lift with 35's. I'll have some better pics soon, heading to Kentucky later this month to hit some trails for a few days....hopefully I don't end up regretting going before the sliders are on.
