So bought my first Tacoma. Love the forum. Great stuff. Any suggestions on additions to my truck? I can't go crazy. Its my primary vehicle and will be used for forest roads, some sand etc. Skid Plate? Underbody protection? Rack system vs Shell? Fire away!!!

    Welcome.
I think it’d be foolish to just recommend mods without first knowing what you plan to do with the truck. Armor, skid plates and all that is essentially a “waste” if you don’t plan to off road. (Which is common, not everyone buys a Tacoma to off road) Wider wheels is no good if you plan to commute long distances and want to up your mph.

Recommended modifications depends on what you want to do.

Do yourself a favor and hide your credit card lol. I told myself (and my wife) that my truck would stay stock and within a couple months, I had “helped the economy” by thousands of dollars.
In all seriousness, welcome to the forum. This is a great and very active community.

Welcome to the TW, Tacoma’s are very capable stock. Do your research before you spend the money. Use the search function on here for questions. Wants and needs are vastly different. Oh yeah, enjoy the new truck.

Don’t let the second gen owners fake news get to ya. Third gen is a fine truck.
