Battery discharge light

    recently replaced alternator as old one first became intermittent unreliable then gave up charging, new one from Rock Auto and now alternator is putting out 14.99volts with .02 voltage drop from post to post positive and .00 ground checks. Battery discharge light remains on.

    Bad new alternator, had it happen before on a customers car, the internal circuitry for the voltage sencing had a fault, second new alternator worked correctly.
